South east Asia trip part 3: Malaysia – Pangkor island

Left a busy city just want to go to the beach so we went with the bus to Lumut and go with a ferry to Pangkor island .When we arrived on the island and went on a pink taxi to a popular Nipha beach. Was so surprise when we arrived every shop was closed, market and food shops no one open. We hardly seen any people walking or cars on the street and all the resorts were empty too. Funny is you won’t believe that famous beach road everything is death and the “resort” just look like a ghost house. This is because of the Ramadan, the people are not allowed to sell food or drink during these days. Luckily there was a Chinese restaurant still open. We asked couple of resorts try to get a good price. we found a nice room with beach view and we got one for RM50 less then they asked for RM70( I think we could have gone lower)

The beach which just cross the road from our resort. The water was nice and warm ,we had some beautiful sights plus a little dog he kept following us around and played with us ,thanks to the dog that was the best time on the island otherwise we just only relax at the beach without any fun thing to do.

Next day we rented a scooter ride around the island and visited the Dutch Fort and a Chinese temple too.
We were so happy that no many people and cars around here ’cause we both are sick of busy city. So we had a very good time and enjoyed the passed 2 days.

Ferry from Lumut to pangkor island RM10/return
Scooter price RM20-40 24/hr
Nipha beach resort RM50 n/room ( normal price RM120)
