Friday we looked at the weather and it didn’t look great. They were predicting lighting and rain. Also it was 36c in Mt carbine which is at the start of the track. Not a great sign for camping. But hey we went anyway.
We went this time with Damien, Emily and Talon. They went in there Nissan patrol. No Air con so they went up quick to keep moving.
Mount spurgeon road is pretty steep and rough. Great views on the way though. There is a view point at the top where you have a beautiful views over vast landscapes.
When we arrived at the campsite there was nobody how great was that and because we were high up the temperature was perfect. Right In front of our camp we had a amazing swimming hole. Damien and Emily brought there kayak to explore. We had plenty of wood to make a great fire at night.
The next day we went for a hike to checkout the waterfall. You had to hike about 45min on this cow track. On the way we had views of the gorge and smaller waterfalls. When we arrived at the falls we had a swim.
It was a really chilled weekend. We were lucky there was no rain or lighting.
